Capital City Lighthouse Charter School is a K-8 public, charter school nestled in the heart of North Little Rock. We are a college-prep focused school, with the steadfast goal to prepare students for college, career and life. Our current enrollment is approximately 211 students, of which 87% are students of color.
Since opening our doors in 2015, CCLCS has grown and evolved from a K-5 campus to a K-8 campus and extended our reach and programs to meet and serve the needs of our community.
We follow a Restorative Practice disciplinary system which focuses on developing positive behaviors and changing negative behaviors, with the overall goal of restoring relationships and keeping our scholars engaged in the classroom.
Each educator is focused on creating a family environment the classroom. Our school day begins with a time for scholars to share and discuss things that are important to them individually and as the class as a whole.
Social and Emotional Character
Our culture is centered on building scholars’ social and emotional character in addition to their academic performance.
The mission of Capital City Lighthouse Charter School is to prepare students with the academic and social-emotional skills necessary to succeed in college, career, and life.
